Insecurity: Gov’Ododo charges Newly recruited Hunters to exhibit professionalism to fight crimes in Kogi

Kogi State Governor,, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has urged the  One thousand and fifty  recruited Hunters to exhibit high level of professionalism in the  discharge of their duties across the state.
This is as he distributed essential security equipments that will help them in intelligence gatherings in conjunction with other sister security agencies.
Governor Ododo gave the charge on Thursday during the distribution ceremony of the gadgets held in the Government House in  Lokoja.
 He expressed his administration’s commitment to deal decisively with criminal elements who intend to cause breach of security across the  State.
The Governor stated  further that  the State will not be turned to  a breeding ground for criminals and urged  all hands to  be on deck to wipe those with predatory characters.
He charged the hunters to remain professional by assisting other security agencies in combating crimes in the State.
“My administration has adopted Kinetics and non kinetic approach to ensure security of our people.
Kogites, we must protect ourselves. If we don’t do it, nobody will do it for us. Kogi State is not a free  zone for criminals.
“When you see them, deal with them decisively. Criminals must be wipe out of our land. When you are coming with criminal mind, we are ever ready to take you out.  Once again, when you see criminals, deal with them” he warned.
Earlier in his address, the Kogi State Commissioner of Police Bertrand Onuoha disclosed that the items distributed is to assist conventional security  agency in the State to combat insecurities.
While expressing appreciation to the Kogi State Governor for his  foresight in securing lives and properties, the Commissioner said
“All of us knows the topography of Kogi State which poses security challenges. All this we are seeing is in line with the Inspector General of Police on community policing.
” If all this security agencies are establish without synergy, much will not be achieved. Am using this medium to call for the integration of all security agencies in the State. I have directed Area Commanders to always make use of vigilantes and hunters. When we harmonize, our services will be more interesting.
 Onuoha advised members of the hunters association and vigilantes to always work in synergy with other security to nip in the bud criminal elements from Kogi State.
He urged them to always put in their best in protecting law abiding Citizens in Kogi State.
