Kogi State 3MTT Community Applauds Governor Ododo for Appointing Dr. Bashir

in Kogi State has commended Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo for appointing Dr. Bashir Tenuche as the pioneer Director-General of the Kogi State Information, Communication and Technology Development Agency (KICTDA)
In a congratulatory message signed by the State Community Manager, Omachoko Arome and made available to Journalists in Lokoja on Wednesday described the appointment of Dr. Tenuche as a landmark decision that has highlighted his commitment to
innovation, technological advancement, and youth empowerment in Kogi State.
According to the him, Dr Bashir Tenuche is an accomplished IT expert with a stellar academic and professional
record with a PhD in Computing Research and Information Systems, specialising in User
Behaviour Analytics, from Brunel University, London.
According to him, Dr. Tenuche is widely recognized for his analytical acumen
and ability to simplify complex technical concepts has a Master’s degree in Web
Computing from Northumbria University, Newcastle, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science from the University of Ilorin.
The statement added that the young computer whizkid expanded his expertise in emerging
technologies by obtaining a certificate in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from the
University of Texas at Austin.,USA.
“Prior to his appointment, Dr. Tenuche was a faculty member at the Computer Science
Department of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, where he inspired students to pursue
careers in technology.
Omachoko noted that as a pioneer Director of the NITDA Innovation and Incubation Hub, he has led initiatives in machine learning, data analysis, and software development even as his wealth of
experience will position him to pilot KICTDA toward fulfilling its mandate of advancing ICT
development in Kogi State.
While expressing his enthusiasm for the appointment, Omachoko
said, “Dr. Tenuche’s appointment marks a pivotal moment for technology in Kogi State. As a
program committed to building Nigeria’s technical talent backbone, we see in Dr. Tenuche a partner who understands the transformative power of technology and innovation. We are confident that his leadership will bridge the digital divide and position Kogi State as a leader in
Nigeria’s digital economy.”
Omachoko , however, called on the DG to Integrate the 3MTT Community into KICTDA’s Strategic Plans,
organise hackathons, tech expos, and skill-building workshops, and facilitate internships and
job placements for fellows, ensuring that local talents contribute significantly to the state’s ICT ecosystem.
While reiterating the community’s support, Omachoko assured that 3MTT is ready and willing to contribute
her expertise, resources, and innovative solutions to ensure the success of Dr. Tenuche’s
tenure..
He commended Governor Ododo for his visionary leadership in prioritising
development, noting that the appointment underscored the administration’s dedication to
nurturing a digitally empowered Kogi State.
He disclosed that the 3MTT has trained 1,636 fellows across 12
tech skills, fostering innovation and delivering practical solutions to societal challenges.
