Anniversary: ‘Your Scorecard In One Year Highly Commendable’ – Etsu Lokoja Applauds Gov. Ododo
The Etsu Lokoja, HRH Emmanuel Akamisoko Dauda-Shelika, Nyamkpa IV, has felicitated with His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, on the occasion of his one year anniversary of as the Executive Governor of Kogi State.
Dauda-Shelika, in his congratulatory statement on Monday in Lokoja, praised the governor on his numerous achievements within one year in office describing it as highly commendable scorecard.
The monarch pledged the unalloyed and continued commitment and loyalty of the Native Nupe of Lokoja, home and abroad to his Government towards the attainment of his Administration’s developmental goals.
“Your Excellency Sir, On behalf of the Nupe Natives of Lokoja home and abroad I felicitate with His Excellency Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo on this special occasion of his one year anniversary of unparalleled stewardship as Executive Governor of Kogi State. This far, so good. Glory be to God for a very commendable scorecard.
“By your leadership in the last one year you have tranquilized the entire State by pulling the people out of deep despair and hopelessness despite the multi-level depressions occasioned by several factors. It is true as the Holy Books say, “When the Righteous rules, the people rejoice…”.
“Hardly is any ill-saying about your Administration heard anywhere across the State. Bravo!!! Your Excellency, Sir.
“Your Excellency Sir, through your Administration, you have continued to strategically diagnosed the maladies of Kogi State and promptly attending them in their order of priority. Little wonder, there is the calm and hopeful smile that Kogi wears.
“Your approach left no spectrum of the Kogi society unaffected. Kudos, Your Excellency, Sir.
“In one year of your leadership, so much across the State are the evidence of your exemplary righteous governance touching workers’ welfare, education, infrastructural development, health, security of lives and properties among others.
“It remains our prayer that God the most merciful and most benevolent would continue to uphold you and grant you uncommon wisdom and courage to break more grounds until Kogi State become singled out from among the others as the best in all ramifications.
“Your Excellency Sir, my people (the Native Nupe of Lokoja, home and abroad) and I pledge our unalloyed and continued commitment and loyalty to your Government as your humble partners towards the attainment of your Administration’s developmental goals, Inshallah!
“May God grant you long life and keep you in good health, Sir.
“Your Excellency Sir, as you can see, we are peaceful, peace-loving and very accommodating. I wish to remind you of our earlier very passionate plea for Government recognition as a people that have played host to every resident of Lokoja and for the grading of our age long Stool of ‘ETSU LOKOJA’, for fairness, equity and justice.
“This would also create a peaceful balance in the old city which would create the right atmosphere for development, harmonious coexistence and also save us from continued low-self-esteem.
“We believe that you are our God-sent.
“As we look forward to your approval, please, be assured of the compliments of our best regards always, Your Excellency, Sir.
The royal father also use the the opportunity to appeal to the governor and the security agencies to expedite investigation and prompt action from Government, in bringing those behind the attack on his residence to justice.
