The Kabba Bunu youth leader of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Oluwakayode Emmanuel Eseyin, has described Senator Dino Melaye as a failed politician whose concern is only about personal benefits without the welfare and well-being of the people of his constituency.
The youth leader made the assertion on Monday in a press statement made to journalists in Lokoja, to counter Dino’s use of proxy to attack his comment.
He said Dino Melaye has repeatedly used proxies to attack his perceived enemies when ever he was called to account for his stewardship to his constituency .
He alleged that Dino instead of responding to his comment over his awful performance at the Senate , he resorted to using one Mohammed Kabir Abdullahi to launder his image.
He added that despite the enormous opportunities that PDP has created for him, he wantonly denounced the party for the ADC , the platform he intends to use to swindle his financiers.
He explained that Dino not minding the name and financial Fortunes that he had enjoyed from the PDP, could not think about the well being of his fans and supporters before jumping the ship to curry the attention of his gullible financiers.
According to him Senator Dino had often seeks the ticket of PDP for self enrichment, flaunt his wealth , without consideration of his people.
According to Eseyin, “Dino Melaye’s 2023 governorship bid was never about the people of Kogi State. It was a self-serving venture designed to access campaign funds, flaunt ostentatious wealth, and grandstand in the media. What tangible legacy did he left behind from that campaign — except noise, designer clothes, and luxury convoys?
” How does any of that help the ordinary people of Ijumu, Kabba, or Bunu and entire Kogi West Senatorial District. The same people he claimed to represent for years, are now forage for food from dustbins — a reality he shamefully referenced himself — yet he cannot point to a single sustainable empowerment project or community-based initiative that puts food on their tables. I challenge him, to name one enduring project left for his constituency.” He exploded
He warned the former senator not to think of approaching Kogi West to seek their votes as the people are determined to pay him in his own coins when the time comes, stressing that the zone has outgrown his tricks and drama of emptiness.
He challenge Dino Melaye to try and contest even the position of councilorship in his ward and he would be surprised how he will be roundly defeated.
He explained that Dino having lost relevance in PDP, has turned to the ADC, hoping to once again weaponize their ticket for personal gain.
The youth leader reveal that Dino script of moving to another party was predictable aimed at grabbing tickets, make money, disappear and only to resurface with another party badge.
He adviced his supporters not to be sentimental on religious divide but to x-ray Dino’s legacy for the people in all the political offices he had held.
” Kogi West deserves better than someone who equates political service with theatrical performance. They deserve serious, sober leadership — not an entertainer masquerading as a statesman.
While enjoining the Party to undertake internal cleansing to weed out people like Mohammed Kabir Abdullahi to desist from further de marketing of the party and begin to rebuild by making Dino to account for his past stewardship.
