The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, psc, mni, has organised a strategic peace meeting between Itale and Ishi communities of Ibaji LGA to resolve a lingering dispute over a fishing pond and land.
The meeting was prompted by concerns that some youths from both communities might take the law into their own hands while the case is pending in the Upper Area Court Idah. The command is urging both parties to maintain peace and allow the court to determine the outcome.
Both communities have agreed to maintain peace until the court case is resolved. The command is committed to ensuring the safety of lives and property in the State.
