Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has reiterated his commitment to sustain deployment of more funds to Security Architecture to deal with Security threats in the state.
The Governor disclosed this at a decoration ceremony of promoted officers and commissioning of projects by kogi command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps held in Lokoja , kogi state capital
Represented by the Director General, Government House, Dr. Shaibu Oricha, said, the government has resolved to continue to upscale its financial obligations to the security agencies to enable optimal discharge of their duties.
According to the DG, kogi state is critical to the stability of this country and as a gateway to the Northern and Southern parts of the country, whatever is committed to security of lives and property cannot be overstated.
” Kogi is by its location in the middle of the country is critical to the security of our nation. Having borders with ten states and Federal Capital Territory, it plays significant role in mitigating Security. We placed premium on security and that is why , we have consistently ranked the most peaceful state in the county. We will continue to fund security architecture in the state. We have substantially synergized with security agencies in the state and we assured that the incoming administration will take off from us. The Governor elect is a product of our administration and he will do nothing less than what we have done.” He assured
The Governor commended the former commandant who was promoted to the rank of Assistant Commandant General and transferred to the Headquarters for his landmark achievements in the management of human and material resources that has imprinted the corps in the hearts of Kogites.
He pray for his success at his new assignment and assured the incoming commandant of the same cooperative synergy.
