Wowo Sworn in as new CAGraM Chairman
A Grassroots political movement within the All Progressives Congress APC, the CONSOLIDATED APC GRASSROOTS MOVEMENT CAGraM today, March 4, 2024 issued Certificate of Return CoR to three newly elected National Working Committee NWC members of the Organization in Abuja.
The Organization had on March 1st, 2024 elected a new National Chairman, Deputy National Chairman North and Assistant National Chairman North-West.
The Three newly elected officials are the National Chairman; Hon Shamsudeen Surajo Wowo, Deputy National Chairman North; Hon Ibrahim Tajudeen Shola and Assistant National Vice Chairman North-West; Hon Ismail Ahmed Tuge.
At the ceremony; the three newly elected officials collected their Certificate of Return CoR and equally took the Oath of Office and Oath of Allegiance.
They have now officially assumed office as members of the National Working Committee NWC of CAGraM.
In his acceptance speech, Wowo said that his leadership will be inclusive as it strive to rebrand and position itself within the ruling party’s administrative and policy network.
Wowo said, “I am overwhelmed with gratitude to Almighty Allah having been elected as the national chairman of CAGram movement under our great party, the APC. I am very elated to join with you today in what will go down as history of the greatest movement of our great nation, Nigeria. Thank you all so much for being present to share in this occasion. Being the newly elected national chairman of CAGram does not mean that i am better than you, its just by the grace of Almighty Allah and also, it is not a task that i can carry out alone without your inputs. I would like to clarify that under my leadership, everyone will be carried along and each and every member is important.
Wowo further applauded the National Secretary of the movement, Chief Lloyd Butches Emmanuel for being a firm and courageous hand in the moments of need. He said the lofty objectives of CAGram has been sustained because of his determination.
“Let me at this junction thank the national secretary of CAGram who has been working tirelessly to make sure that the movement remain firm and sound and also my profound appreciation to the former national chairman and his members for their good work in seeing that CAGram has been up to this level, i assure you that under my leadership i will continue the good work you started and my administration will need to learn from profound experience in the course of my leadership.”
Wowo commended the APC hierarchy for supporting the movement, while calling on party members to rally round CAGram to strengthen and solidify its acceptance among the grassroot populations.
“I would also like to thank the national leadership of our great party, the APC for their support throughout this election period. Moreover, before i conclude my speech let me make it clear to my executive council and to all CAGram EXCOS that my administration will be focusing on our 3 – cardinal points which are Immediate Goal, Mid – term Goal and Long term goal, i am therefore appealing to all executive council and members of this great movement for us to work in unity and make sure we make CAGram great as well as make our great party proud.”
