Espirit de corps: Customs Boss, H.I. Abdullahi seeks synergy with Police to fight crimes in Kogi.

In his avowed commitment to fight crimes and criminality on the inland waterways,the newly deployed Acting Area Controller, Nigeria Customs Service North Western Marine Command Lokoja, Deputy Comptroller HI Abdullahi Psc(+) has called for mutual working relationship with the commissioner of police kogi state command of the Nigeria police, CP Miller Dantawaye to enable comprehensive fight against crimes and criminality.
The Deputy Comptroller made the call on Wednesday when he paid familiarisation visit to the kogi state Commissioner of Police Miller Dantawaye in his office in Lokoja.
Abdullahi who expressed gratitude to the police boss for his uncommon reception for his team , said , the visit is to establish watertight relationship with the Police to help him achieve his mandate.
He added that the visit has afforded him ample opportunity to know and identify some underlining security challenges as regards his area of mandate.
He promise to extend the visit to other sister security services and stakeholders in the state for his effective service delivery, saying , no security agency can achieve success without the collaboration of others.
He noted that he will not take the smooth working relationship with the police for granted as kogi state is strategically located sandwiched by nine states and her proximity to the federal capital Abuja, has made the state , a hotbed for unwholesome activities.
The Deputy Comptroller who is in charge of North Western Marine Command headquarters in Lokoja, kogi state ,disclosed that the presence of the confluence rivers of Niger and Benue in kogi have made the command very strategic to the nation.
Responding, CP Dantawaye described the visit as a first of its kind and pledged unwavering support to the Nigeria Customs Service.
He said he has followed meticulously the impressive operational record of DCC Abdullahi and assured him of his readiness to assist him whenever needed.
