The Igala Cultural and Development Association ICDA has completed arrangement for the hosting of stakeholders submit, with the theme:Uniting for Self-rediscovery: An Appraisal of Current Status of Igala Ethnic Nationality in Nigeria billed for 16th August 2025.
In a statement signed by Jonathan Jibrin, head of Media and Publicity Committee and made available to newsmen said , the submit is aimed at proffering solutions to myriads of challenges facing the kingdom.
The statement noted that the long quest for solution to many challenges bordering on socio-economic development of Igala land and its people with current political developments in Nigeria, would be on the front burner.
” Accordingly, the summit shall bring together notable Igala people for an engaging dialogue and in-depth discussion with a view to aggregating opinions and attempting to find answers to some burning Igala questions of the moment
WHO TO ATTEND
1. Traditional Rulers.
2. Captains of Industries.
3. Political leaders.
4. Politicians (Elected/ appointed).
5. Reps of key Igala Socio-Cultural organizations.
6. Reps of the youths.
7. Women Reps.
8. Reps of Igala Professionals.
9. Retired senior officers of uniform and security services.
10. Reps of religious bodies.
11. Reps of some notable NGOs.
12. Reps of State/Local Governments.
The summit will X-Ray critical socio-economic and political factors such as poverty, education, politics, infrastructure, security, culture and the quest for re-assertion by the Igala ethnic nationality under the current Nigerian project, among others.
The statement advised that attendance at the summit is strictly by invitation.
He enjoined stakeholders to make adequate preparation and plan to attend this important meeting of progressive Igala people and to be part of those championing an Igala Renaissance.
