While officiating the joining of two to one, the Reverend Father, Fidelis Ofor, challenged the couple to keep the union sacred in line with the injunctions of God, who declared that it is not good for a man to be alone, who deserved a help meet for him.
He appealed to the couple to make their marriage a replica of Jesus Christ on earth
He charged the husband to love his wife as Jesus Christ loved the church and gave his life for it, and admonished the wife to submit and reference her husband who is the head of the home as encapsulated in the holy Bible of Ephesian 5 .
The man of God, urged the couple to exemplify tolerance, endurance and unwavering commitment to making the marriage a worthwhile irrespective of the perceived challenges, adding that love is the only kernel that sustain the union, and warned against the incursion of third party in their home.
Reverend Ofor who paid glowing tribute to the celebrator whom he described an enbodiment of complete gentleman.
He disclosed that he has no iota of doubts that Omonu Jackson, a Class mate in Saint Kizito will make the best husband based on his God filled upbringing, saying hooking to his wife, Linda, was a perfect match that will produce God fearing children.
In the same vein, Rev. Kizito Edicha urged the Church to pray for the families, as the devil has waged wars in attacking the home , noting that the families deserved fervent prayers against the machinations of the devil.
He called the couple to constantly communicate with each other, warning that communication gap could spark discontents, even as constant oiling of the marital vows served as the only antidote for a successful union.
In a remarks, the Deputy Speaker, kogi state House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Comfort Egwaba Nwuchiola prayed for the sustenance of the Union
She acknowledged the character and pedigree of Hon James Omonu Jackson who is an epitome of integrity, love and commitment to family tenets.
Also, the Commissioner for Agriculture in kogi state, Hon. Timothy Ojoma.enjoined the couple to imbibe the habit of praying and studying the Bible together in unison.
Earlier, the latest husband in town- Omonu Jackson appreciates the sacrifices made by everyone in attendance despite elaborate invitation and assured that their show of Love for his family will forever remain indelible in his heart.
He thanked the Church and the officiating priests for their magnanimity in responding to his call for the wedding.
He assured the church that he will mobilize his contacts to assist in the ongoing construction of the church building .
