Niger recruits over 1600 civil servants, dismisses 328 for certificate forgery in 5 years.

Niger state government has employed about one thousand one hundred and thirty three (1133) civil servants including five hundred and fifty five (515 )health personnel in the past five years.

The Chairman of the state civil service commission, Alhaji Shehu Yusuf Galadima stated this in a press briefing in Minna on Tuesday.

Alhaji Shehu stated that the health sector got the highest number of employees with thirty one (31) medical doctors, one hundred and fifteen ( 115 )House officers, ninety five (95 )intern pharmacists and two hundred and sixty two ( 262) other health workers.

He said, “we also recruited 218 personnel for the educational sector to alleviate the shortage of teachers in various subjects.one hundred and fifty (150)of them we’re deployed to Secondary Education Board,Science and Technical Schools Board while sixty eight (68 )others were deployed to Teachers Professional Development Institute towards ensuring the successful take off of the institute “.

He mentioned that three hundred and twenty eight (328) personnel were however dismissed from service for various offences including certificate racketeering.

According to him, “On certificate racketeering, no fewer than three hundred and twenty eight (328) personnel were dismissed from service after the commission undertook a forensic examination of all certificate pledged during their interview for their respective jobs, while the institutions they purported to have attended declared their claims as forgery “.

Galadima then advised applicants to avoid fraudsters who would like to use fake recruitment Porter’s to dupe them.
