The forum of Kogi East supervisory councillors have reiterated their unflinching support for Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for his developmental agenda for the people of the state.
This is as the forum confered the leadership merit awards to the nine council chairmen of Kogi East Local Government Areas of the state for their ingenuity and effective management of the affairs of their respective council.
The coordinator of the forum, Honourable Halima Abu, who is also the Omala Supervisory councillor for Health , while conferring awards of selfless service to the nine Executive Chairmen of the Kogi East zone of state noted that the award was in recognition of their service to their fatherland.
In a Media statement made available to Journalists in Lokoja on Wednesday, noted that the forum was formed to give impetus and to synergise with the chairmen to deliver dividend of democracy to the people.
According to the coordinator, who promised to use their experience to galvanising and wooing electorate to the All Progressive Party APC, promising to sustain the winning streak of the party.
She noted that the all round transformation of the state by the governor Yahaya Bello, especially in the area of security has made the state an investment destination in the country , called on the people to give him maximum support to continue to do more for the state.
She added that the forum is made up of all supervisory councillors across nine Local Government Councils in Kogi East is determine to work in concert with the chairmen for the unity, love and progress of the local Government Areas.
She assure that the forum will continue to initiate programmes and plans at helping the chairmen to delivery their mandate to the people.
The statement added in part.” Immediately we were inaugurated as supervisory councillors, we came together as a body in order to join hands together with the Chairmen to foster unity and cooperation to move our various local Government Areas to higher heights.
” We need to synergise with our bosses to ensure purposeful development for our people and to bring our wealth of experience to bear in the act of governance and to queue behind our chairmen to enable them to succeed in administering the council.
” We have the confidence that our functional cooperation would engender development for the people which we are confident that this synergy will attract massive influx of electorate to our party (APC;) The statement assured.
She called on the people of Kogi East to continue to give their maximum support for the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello and the Councils’ chairmen to spur them to delivery people’s oriented projects.
Speaking for his colleagues, the Executive Chairman of Dekina Local Government Council, Hon. Isiaka Shaibu Okolo commended the forum for their ingenuity and avowed commitment to synergise with the chairmen to move the entire area of Kogi East forward.
He assured them of total cooperation and partnership that will guarantee even transformation of the people of the people at the grassroots.
