GYB-PYB Advocates, whose slogan is ‘If You Want Change, Vote A Change Agent: GYB’ has congratulated Nigerias on the celebrations of 22 years of uninterrupted democracy.
Addressing journalists in Lokoja weekend, the Secretary General of the group, Comrade Aliyu O. Felix flanked by members, said Nigerians are good people, saying that they cannot fold their arms while the Unity in Diversity is being threatened, which he said informed their choice of Governor Yahaya Bello to run for the presidency come 2023.
They called on Government at all levels to make the security of lives and property of citizens their priority, noting that protection of lives and property is the primary responsibility of any Government.
The Group commended the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for making Kogi State a peaceful state, saying that Kogi has remained one of the safest States in Nigeria under his watch..
They called on other State Governors to emulate and learn from the styles and workings of Kogi State Governor in this regards.
“Nigerians are good people and we cannot fold our arms while our Unity in Diversity is been threatened, government at all levels should live up to expectations by taking the bull by the horns as the protection of lives and property is their duties”.
“It is on this note that he declares the group support and canvass for the Presidential bid of Kogi State Governor.
He said plans are on the way to roll out the group’s activities in the support of GYB2PYB in a few weeks to come.
“We thank God that the All Progressive Congress, (APC), has rolled out the time table for its congresses. The game has started all hands must be on deck.
The group calls on the State Party Chairman, Hon Abdullahi Bello (Dollar) to rally round his colleagues in the remaining 35 States, The FCT and other critical political stakeholders to make this dream a reality.
“This is also a clarion call for all political appointees of the State Government, Members the State Assembly, Youths and the Women alike in Kogi State to do everything humanly possible for His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello to become the next President of the Country.
“There is no Nation that can develop without peace. Peace is a Panacea to Development”. Yahaya Bello has done it in Kogi State, we are calling on him to come and replicate this at the Federal Level.
“A youthful, energetic and resourceful leader, we have no doubt that he will perform, so we can sleep with our two eyes closed.
