NSCDC Foils abduction of 18 passengers in kogi.

Kogi command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC said on Tuesday that her operatives have foiled an attempted kidnap of Eighteen passengers on Ageva -Ogori Road in kogi state.

The command disclosed that on a tip off by one identified as Felix who told the Joint Task Force of the corps who were on patrol on the route that he had just escaped around 4.am when the 18 seater commercial bus they were traveling in suddenly ran into the road block mounted by kidnappers on Ogori- Ageva road in kogi central senatorial zone of the state.

He said, it was an act of God that he was able to jump out of the bus before they could execute their nefarious acts even as he has to alert the men of the NSCDC who promptly burst their plans.

In a press release by public relations oficer of the command CSC Alex Agiri and made available to Treasuretimes on Tuesday said the officers immediately swung into action and intercepted the 18 seater bus and rescued 13 passengers while four others were still missing.

He disclosed that the JTF have begun combing the bush to rescue the remaining four passengers unhurt , saying the state Commandant Suleiman Mafara has called on the general public to always give timely and reliable information to security agencies to help in curbing Security threats across the state.
