A chieftain of People’s Democratic Party PDP in Kogi State has appealed to christians in the state and Nigeria at large to show extreme love , kindness and empathy on the occasion of the 2021 celebration of Christmas.
The former People’s Democratic Party PDP aspirant gave the charge to mark this year’s Christmas 2021 and New Year celebration for 2022, in Abuja on Friday.
Abubakar Ibrahim Idris maintained that the prevailing situations in Nigeria calls for sober reflections in view of the current downward trend of events in all ramifications.
He tasked leaders at all levels to be wary of the critical conditions and situations of Nigerians, particularly the middle class and low income earners.
The former PDP Governorship spirant opined the need for more sacrifices on the part of our leadership,so as to bridge the wide gap of underdevelopment of the bottom line class in Nigeria.
He salute the courage of Nigerians particularly the people of Kogi state for taking the bull by the horn,praying for a quick turnaround of events and situation.
Abubakar Ibrahim Idris said this year’s celebration should not be for merry making alone,but prayers to bring under control the unabated insecurity, kidnappings and banditry that is now a new norm in Nigeria.
He wished the christians many more of the celebration in good health, progress and personal development.
