Yuletide; Kogi Assembly clerk felicitates with Christians, Assembly staff, tasks them on Peace, unity
The clerk of the kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaj Ibrahim Isa-Amoka has called on the people of kogi State, particularly the Christian folks to emulate Jesus Christ in their conduct.
The clerk who stated this in his felicitation message to the Christians and staff of the Assembly on the occasion of the 2021 Christmas celebrations, stressed the need for the people to be selfless, just Christ lived a selfless life during his Apostolic work on Earth.
The clerk admonished Christian faithfuls to imbibe the core Christian values of Peace, Love and harmony .
He urged Christians to continue to exemplify the virtues of love and care, especially for the less privileged persons in the society as demonstrated by Jesus Christ during his life time on earth..
Isa-Amoka stressed the need for the people to seize the opportunity of the yuletide to foster the spirit of unity and harmonious co-existence irrespective of tribal, ethnic and religious divides.
While praying for God’s divine intervention and blessings upon all families and households, the clerk called for special prayers for sustained peace, progress and genuine strive to overcome all challenges confronting the State and the Nation.
“Christ lived a selfless life here on earth, he was willing to make sacrifices for the people at the expenses of his own life.
“I Enjoined everyone, Christians and non Christians to be ready to make one sacrifice or the other for us to have a better society and overcome the challenges of insecurity confronting the state and the nation.
“Christ preached peace, lived a life of peace. I called on all of us, traditional and and religious leaders to be peaceful and preach Peace at all times.
