Rep. Halims Inaugurate Halims Progressive Forum(HPF) In Ankpa
Ahead of the 2023 general election, a support group commited to the re-election of the Member, Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has been inaugurated in Ankpa.
Hon. Halims while inaugurating the Forum thanked them for their age long support and persevering fellowship with him hitherto his election into the National Assembly and vowed to always carry them along in his stewardship at all time.
He advised them to uphold his political principle which is unambiguously service to the people at all time.
He also thanked God for what they area have achieved through him stressing that the project should be paired with Governor Yahaya Bello’s presidential ambition which he described as a Kogi project stressing that the APC having performed relatively well, when the time is right for proper campaigns, the party’s landmarks will speak for them.
Earlier in his opening remarks, Chairman of the group, Hon. Abubakar Yusuf urged members of the group to put aside immediate gains and work round the clock to orientate constituents on the performance and scorecard of Hon. Halims in a view to justify his current tenure in their various domains.
Speaking further, the Chairman revealed that there were silent majority of followers at the grassroot, hence, the need for the Halims Progressive Forum to go back home and inaugurate the various Wards or even polling units Centre in order to deepen the goodwill of the group at the grassroot across the Constituency.
The event was well attended at Ankpa on Friday by both members of the group drawn from the thirteen electoral Wards of Ankpa Local Government and unsolicited supporters of Hon. Halims including the HPF Leader, Hon Abduljalil Stone, Ankpa Chapter Chairman of the Timber Association, Hon. Abubakar Kadede, NURTW Chairman, Hon. Ibrahim Amodu Tuche, Chief A. K. Amodu and a host of others.
On his part, the Secretary of the Halims Progressives Forum(HPF), Pastor James Amodu in his vote of thanks noted that the group, at their foundation stage was in search of credible leadership which has been found in Hon. Halims and proud of his stewardship so far, they are going to do their best in mobilizing massively for him to consolidate on the gains of his current tenure.
Highlights of the day was musical interlude by lyrically sound Hon. Tenimu Foreign, magical voiced Hon. Ayofa Omaonu, Traditionally eloquent Abuh Yahaya and a host of entertainers.
