Breakdown of the results are as the follows:
1. ABAJI – PDP
2. AMAC – PDP
3. BWARI – PDP
4. GWAGWALADA – APC
5. KUJE – PDP
6. KWALI – APC
Meanwhile, electoral observers have commended the INEC for relative free and fair election in FCT except in Gwagwalada area council where cases of election irregularities were reported.
One of the observers in a chat with Journalists on anonymity said, ” I observed the just concluded chairmanship election in FCT in Gwagwalada area council and I can authoritatively state that the election was massively rigged in favour of APC as voting were allowed to continue until 9pm when thugs snatched away some ballot boxes and fake result sheets were later used to announce results of those areas.
If I have my way, the election in this area should be cancelled in order to conduct fresh election that will reflect the true wishes of the people
If Gwagwalada election is allowed to stand, it simply means that, the people of the area have been robbed, ” the observer said.
