The Chief Medical Director (CMD), Kogi Hospital Management Board (KHMB), Dr Zakari Usman, has eulogised His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for his magnanimity to sponsor the medical treatment of Dr Busayo Agbana in India, who was diagnosed of cancer of the colon.
Dr Busayo Agbana, Provost, College of Medicine at the Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, was diagnosed with cancer of the colon and needs medical treatment in India to cost about #37.3 Million.
The CMD in a statement on Friday in Lokoja, praised the Governor for his magnanimity in granting the approval for the State Government to sponsor the treatment of the ailing dedicated medical personnel in India.
According to the CMD, Dr Agbana is a selfless and dedicated medical personnel who has given his all to improve the health system of the state.
He, therefore stressed that the gesture by His Excellency was unprecedented and highly appreciated by the management and staff of Kogi hospital management board.
He described the governor as a man with a golden heart who has passion for the welfare and wellbeing of the citizens of the state.
”Your Excellency, we thank you for coming to the aid of a selfless and dedicated medical personnel who has given his all to improve the health system of the state”, he said.
The CMD further lauded the Governor’s giant strides in the health sector with new Hospitals springing up in Ajaokuta, Gegu, Okene and Isanlu, as well as the rehabilitation and upgrade of many hospitals across the state.
