A Senatorial aspirant from Kogi central Senatorial district, Mohammad Adomu Etudaye, on Wednesday paid the WAEC and mock fees for 100 indigent students from kogi central Senatorial district.
The total money expended on the payment amounted to N2,300,000.
Etudaye who was represented by Habib Ikunaye, noted that he was moved after he saw the EYC publication on the inability of some students to pay their WAEC fees.
He said he wanted to pay the WAEC fees of 50 students, but later to jerk it up to 100 students when he heard of the situation of things.
Speaking Ikunaye said “It was a rain of joy all over the hall for 100 less privilege brothers and sisters from Kogi center as the full WAEC and mock fees were paid today by Mohammad Adomu Etudaye
He thanked the leadership of Ebira Youth Congress, (EYC) for taking the initiative to save education in the area.
According to him data Capturing was carried out live at the venue, while the representatives of each school signed for the money and fund due for respective school was disbursed.
Ikunaye maintained that Etudaye has always been a philanthropist,
saying that he has assisted people in similar situations in the past.
“He has done a lot of things like this before now, like payment of school
2,500 to all primary school teachers as assistance to them.
Some of the beneficiaries, Tijani Safiyat, Abubakar Sani, and Garba Ibrahim among others thanked Etudaye for the gesture, saying he has come to fill the gap for them.
They called on other spirited individuals and Organizations to provide similar intervention, saying many students are yet to pay their WAEC fees too
