Natasha Akpoti is comfortably set to emerge as the standard bearer of the party in the 2023 kogi Central Senatorial District as Ogembe , the main contender was disqualified on the ground of anti party activities.
Also , one time Account General of the state Elder Ubolo Okpanachi and Quantity Surveyor Alhaji Suleiman Abubakar were edged out from Senatorial primary in kogi East .
The interim report by the screening committee revealed that Ogembe was disqualified for his role in legal battle with the Party , Ubolo was found to be a member of other party, while, Alhaji Suleiman was discovered to have not voted for the parry in previous elections , the situation, the party said would significantly affect their chances in the general elections.
