The House of Assembly Hopeful for Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State, on the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress APC Hon Emmanuel Obaro has stated that he is contesting for the state legislative seat is to provide quality representation for his people.
Obara disclosed this while speaking to Journalists on the sidelines of APC party Secretariat in lokoja shortly after submitting his intent and nomination forms.
Mr Obaro stated that he is a well groomed grassroots politician who lives among the people of the council area and enjoys their massive support.
He stated also that having been with his people for many years he is well abreast with their needs and aspirations.
He said he is therefore going into the contest based on his resolve to serve his people to the best of his ability and capacity.
He added that the people of the area have seen some Sterling qualities in him and they have urged him to take the bold step of presenting himself for the contest in order to represent them well in the coming 2023 State assembly election.
While speaking on the party’s primary election, Hon Emmanuel Obaro commended the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for providing level playing field for all aspirants to test their popularity and people’s acceptance through the process of primary election.
He noted that the Governor is a great party man and a father of all and that the Governor has demonstrated that fatherly role by giving equal opportunities for all aspirants to purchase the nomination form and contest for offices of their choice.
The Assembly hopeful also added that Governor Bello’s benevolent posture of giving all aspirants equal opportunities to contest as further rekindle confidence in the minds of the party’s members and supporters.
