The Senatorial Aspirant for kogi west on the platform of APC , Dr. Muyi Aina, has promised the people of the zone of his purposive and developmental representation, that will enhance their socio economic well-being.
He said, having spent most of his life in serving the people as a medical doctor, has made him to be abreast with their needs even as he will use the window of National Assembly to create opportunities for the constituents.
Dr. Aina, a frontline senatorial , aspirant, gave the assurance of his mission and vision if elected, at the Media Parley organised by the Kogi state Council of NUJ for National Assembly Aspirants held in Lokoja on Thursday.
The Media Doctor turned politician, disclosed that he is contesting for the office of the senate to alleviate the sufferings of his people, by using his contacts to generate employment for the youth and providing linkages for women, and vulnerable to improve their lives.
He decried the rate of unemployment and underemployment of the people of the west and solicited for their votes to enable him unleash his developmental programmes for them.
According to him , having been involved in development programmes for decades, he is most qualified to change the narrative of poor representation that had bedeviled the zone.
” Have taught and practice medicine in Nigeria, Us and other advance democracies, i have come to realise the disenchantment of our people. I will use my experience to advance the welfare and wellbeing of the constituents. I will open up latitude of opportunities to attracting federal appointments .
” As a community based person, i will articulate business opportunities toward enhancement of the people.
” I have wealth of Legislative leadership. I will bring to bear this opportunity to bring forward their needs, and concerns for constructive engagement and negotiation in the chamber” he assured.
While asking the people to entrust him with their mandate to providing qualitative education, and Agriculture; Security , and primary health care which have been the albatross of the zone.
He assured of working in synergy with critical stakeholders in order to wrestle what belongs to the zone in the national budget.
He averred that his primary motive to enhance basic necessities of lives for his people, could best be actualised through the instrumentalities of Government rather than as private person, hence, his venturing into politics.
He called on the APC delegates to X ray the antecedents of all the aspirants to make informed choices before casting their votes.
