HON KANTIGI WINS PDP GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARIES IN NIGER STATE.
Hon. Isah Liman Kantigi has clinched the ticket to contest the Governorship e!ection under the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Niger state, after beating four other contestants in primaries election Thursday.
Hon Liman Kantigi scored 667 votes to beat other Aspirants and was declared the winner by the Chairman, electoral commitee of the Party, Mr Lawrence Ewhrudkjakpo who is also the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa state.
The Aspirant’s who contested alongside Hon Liman Kantigi are Sani Idris Kutigi, who scored 114 votes; Engr. Abdullahi Jankara scored 21 votes, Barrister Abdulrahman Gimba scored 03 votes, while Hon Abdul Sidi Guni got 0 votes and 03 invalid votes were recorded.
Declaring Hon Kantigi as the winner of the primaries, the Chairman of the electoral committee, Lawrence Ewhrudkjakpo stated that 808 voters were accredited..
He however commensurate with the Goverment and people of Niger State over the killing of four delegates by armed bandits on their way to attend the just concluded Primaries in Minna.
Hon. Sani Kutigi who lost out in the Primaries election described the election as peaceful and transparent assuring that he will remain in the party and work with the winner so that he can emerge victorious.
He further stated that the whole process of the Primaries is transparent and credible adding that he and his supporters will remain in the party and work with the winner in the general elections in 2023.
