Niger Govt. Gives Beer parlour Operator in Mariga 24 hours to relocate, face the law

A Beer vendor,Godwin beer parlour in Mariga town of Mariga local government area of Niger State has been given twenty four hours to relocate his business to a more conducive place or will be sanctioned by the liquor licensing Board.
The Chairman of the Niger State liquor lincensing board, Mallam Usman Ayuba Katako gave the order when the operation unit of the Board raids the beer joint and sealed the beer parlour in Mariga town.
The beer parlour which is situated in a residential building in the heart of Mariga town,said more than a trailer load of assorted beer were discovered in the house.
According to the Chairman of the board,said of the beer parlour have been served severally with letter to stop the business there and relocate which he refused.
He stated that by this final letter of relocation by the board at the expiration of the order,the board will be left with no option than to take necessary action.
The Chairman then stressed that the law prohibiting sales and consumption of liquor in restricted places is still in place and warned those in practice to desist or if cought shall have their beer consficated and be prosecuted in the court of law.
He called on those willing to do beer business in the state to always seek for consent from the Board so that they will not fall victim of circumstance.
