Kogi Joint Security Operatives rescues kidnap victim, Arrests 2, kill one kidnapper.
Kogi state police Command said joint Security Operatives have rescued an APC chairman in the state from the kidnappers hideout in a bush in the eastern zone of the state.
In a press release made available to Treasuretimes on Saturday in Lokoja, the Command Public Relations officer SP William Aya said on receipt of the distress call of the kidnap of the APC Chairman in kogi east, the joint Security Operatives swung into action and arrested two of the abductors, neutralised one and freed the victim unhurt.
Aya said , the joint security operatives which was coordinated by the Area Commander, Idah ,ACP Alexander Asagade engaged the Hoodlums in gun duel and in the process arrested two and killed one of the suspected kidnappers.
According to the statement,the operation was successful following a reliable information about the suspected kidnappers hideout in the bush.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Akeem A. Yusuf, psc (+), fdc, while commending the Area Commander and the joint security operatives for their gallantry, urged them to sustain the ongoing onslaught against criminalities in their area of responsibilities.
He assures the public of the Command’s commitment in synergy with other security agencies in the State to ensure adequate security of life and properties.
