Naira Scarcity: HYPPADEC donates Foodstuffs, Clothings to Communities in Kogi.

* To Construct 50 units Housing Estate in Karara,Mozum.
The Hydroelectric Power Producing Development Commission HYPPADEC has donated food items and clothing materials to the ten member local Government Councils in Kogi state to cushion the effect.
This is just as it has concluded arrangement to construct 50 units of Housing Estate for the flood victims in Kogi .
The Management of Hyppadec disclosed this on Tuesday during the presentation of Relief materials to the state government for onward distribution to the people of the ten LGAs of the commission to ameliorate their suffering.
The team lead, Alhaji Ozi Salami, who is a board member,  said the commission has to provide the relief materials in order  to help the people at the grassroots to cope with the harsh effect of the money swap policy.
He said, the commission has been proactive in its responsibility of mitigating challenges faced by the people under the jurisdiction of the commission, as it has been  providing  succours to the people during the last flood that ravaged some parts of the state.
Alhaji Ozi Salami added that the commission also swiftly intervened when over 200 travellers lost their lives when their boats capsized on River Niger, stressing that not only that the Management provided succour to the victims, it  cleared shrubs along the waterways from Baro to kebbi to prevent future occurrences.
He commended Governor Yahaya Bello for his sustainable support for the commission saying the governor has been committed to the success of the commission.
He added that  governor Bello has graciously approved the Certificate of Occupancy for her parcel of Land at Karara in Lokoja local Government  and Mozum in Bassa LGAs for the construction of 50 units of Housing Estate for flood victims.
In a remark, Governor Bello thanked the management and staff of the commission for their proactiveness in mitigating effects of flooding on the livelihoods of the victims in the state.
He said the construction of a 50 units at 40 at Karara in Lokoja LGA and 10 units in Mozum in Bassa LGAs is a demonstration of the commitment of Hyppadec to ameliorate the sufferings of the people of flood prone communities in the state.
The Governor, represented by his chief of Staff,  Pharmacist Jamiu Asuku, commended the Commission for given opportunity for indigenes of the state to contribute their quota to the enhancement of lives of the rural people affected by the hydro electric power generation and natural causes.
He applauded president Muhammad Buhari for the establishment of the commission which has been adding value to the people of the state, even as he promised to continue to support the commission to maturity.
Meanwhile items provided  include ; 400 bags of Rice, 250 gallons of vegetable oil and over 300 pieces of wrappers to be distributed to the people across the ten member LGAs of the Commission.
Those on the entourage include, the Director of Administration and Finance Jimoh Haruna Kabir, the state Coordinator, Engineer Joan Oguche and other management staff.
