Yagba West Election: APC wants Christopher Oni, Idowu Ibikunle arrested for attack on Agent.

The call for the arrest of Mr. Christopher Oni and Hon Idowu Ibikunle for the assault of Dr. Kadiri Olaleke, the Returning Officer of Yagba West in the just concluded House of Assembly Election has been made.

According to the Council Chairman of Yagba West, Hon Pius Kolawole, in a statement made to the Police, said the duo attacked the collation Centre in Yagba West.

In a statement and video clip made available to the Police, Mr Pius Kolawole the Chairman and Chief Security Officer of Yagba West LGA along with Mr Emmanuel Oladele the party Secretary who was also doubles as the APC collation agent, said that Mr Christopher Oni who was directly behind the returning officer in the video he submitted to the Police had no business whatsoever at the collation venue, said he planned and coordinated the activities by the thugs that attacked the venue and took over proceedings.

They Council Chairman and Secretary both called for the arrest and prosecution of the duo as their action they pointed out was against the electoral act.

Mr Pius Kolawole and Emmanuel Oladele the Party Secretary wrote a Statement and submitted the video clip to police.

They complainants wrote separate statements apart from the letter above at police station in Odo ere yesterday.

The Complainants furthermore alledged that the legitimate people that were meant to do their work at the collation venue were prevented from entering the venue.

The Complainants alledged in their separate Statement that Christopher Oni who has no business whatsoever at the venue had free hand, unchallenged reign to foist terror and threat on the returning officer because he was in charge of the thugs that held the INEC officials hostage inside and outside the premises of the Collation venue.

The State Commissioner of police upon receipt of the official complaints has directed the police in Odo ere to take statement from them for further investigation.
