Kogi  Governorship 2023: ITAN Endorses Pharm. Asuku  Woo Delegates For Votes.

… Pledge to mobilize 75,000 youths if he emerged the party’s flag bearer.

The Inter-Tribal Association of Nigeria; Kogi State Chapter have declared it’s support for the candidacy of Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku to succeed and consolidate on the great gains made by Governor Yahaya Bello, while they appealed to the All Progressives Congress’ delegates to vote for him at the coming party Primaries.

ITAN pledged to mobilize 75,000 youths across the state to vote for the party in the state gubernatorial polls if Pharm Asuku emerged as the gubernatorial candidate of the party.

The group through its state chairman Comrade Muhammad Abdulrazaq Sani made this known on Tuesday in a press statement after a stakeholder’s dialogue and consultations across the state where they also commented that their choice of Pharm. Asuku was premised on a holistic appraisal and assessments of his track records in both public and private sector.

Comrade Abdulrasaq pointed out that Pharm Asuku has been a bridge builder, a unifier & a detribalized Nigerian who would foster unity among all ethnic groups and religious affiliations among others .

He alluded that his contributions in ensuring peace and stability, education development, health care concerns, human capital development , and women inclusiveness in governance; which are the cardinal focus points of Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration is the key ingredients that convinced the leadership of ITAN to align with his aspiration in the interest of common man in kogi .

The state chairman added that in such a period of global inflation, the state needs a visionary leader that would consolidate the achievements of GYB in the interest of our generation and generation not yet born.

The group used the medium to thank the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a free, fair and credible elections while they also acknowledged President Muhammadu Buhari for ensuring that Nigerians had an election devoid of vote buying and candidates could emerge without the influence of financial resources
