The Social Democratic Party Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka has stated that his aspiration is geared towards rescuing the State from many years of backwardness.
Alhaji Muritala made the disclosure over the weekend at the palace of the Ohimegye Igu Kotonkarfe, HRM Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isa Koto, when he paid courtesy call on the royal father to pray for his aspiration to become the next governor of the state.
The visit by the SDP Governorship Candidate is the commencement of his consultation visit to traditional rulers ahead of the campaign for the November 11 governorship election in the State.
The SDP Governorship Candidate described Kotonkarfe and Kogi LGA as a historical town, assured that the area will enjoy development and prosperity that befits its ancestry, if elected.
He pledged to change the narrative of Kogi LGA and other parts of the State by bringing development to the State , adding that his aspiration is one that is borne out of the passion to enthrone good governance in the state
While stating that Kogi State has all it takes for its citizens to be happy, to be gainfully employed and to attract investors for meaningful development, described the Ohimegye Igu Kotonkarfe as father of all, whose prayers could galvanise massive support for the SDP.
While thanking the monarch for giving Kotonkarfe the right leadership, solicited the entire people of Kogi State to send him on a rescue mission come November 11 2023.
He assures the people that his administration will deliver good governance and the much desired dividends of democracy to the people.
The highlights of the visit was the offering of Royal prayers for the SDP Governorship Candidate by the Ohimegye Igu Kotonkarfe, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isah Koto.
