The Management of West African Ceramics  Company Limited in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of kogi state has disclosed that her over twenty thousand employees, the  highest by single private company in the subsector are from kogi state.
This is just as it has been meticulous in providing Corporate Social Responsibilities to the host communities spanning through: scholarships to indigent students, Boreholes, medical out reaches , succour to flood victims and other assistances to the Communities in the state.
This was disclosed in Lokoja, by Arc.Onyiuke Amaka, at the grand finale of the Built Environment and Building Materials Exhibition held recently in Lokoja.
Amaka who represented the managing Director, Bhaskar P. Rao at the exhibition, said , West Africa Ceramics, makers of Royal tiles, royal marbles, and natural granites has become a household name in the state, nationally and internationally owing to the reliability of its products.
She said the company specialises in using local contents in the production of all the brands in the stable, making it environmentally friendly to the people.
The west Africa Ceramics according to her, is the leading manufacturers of ceramic products in the sub saharan Africa and it is noted for its durability and high standards next to its peers in the Building industry.
She assured users and potential users of their products of the value for their money , stressing that with the quality of its products and the price offerings, the brands remained the cheapest in the industry.
Royal tiles , she explained, with right application of the products, the management often challenge customers with fifty years warranty, saying the company has improved  the aesthetic  beauty of most interiors of house owners in the country.
She decried the high production costs occasioned by inflation and subsidy removal, stating that the company will continue striving to maintain the market share for the benefits of customers.
She said the products are designed for all categories of end users, both those at the lower and higher echelon of the society , assured of continuous adherence to standards  and international best practices.
” In line with the company policy in enhancing quality livelihoods for the host Communities, has provided numerous assistance to the people through scholarships to the indigents students, provided portable pipe borne water, roofing and building of bus stops, health-care facilities and most importantly creating employment opportunities for qualified and deserving persons from the Communities”
She commended the organisers of Built Environment and Building Materials Exhibition for sustainability of the noble and laudable programme that has assisted in positioning the company with the stakeholders in the building industry.
While soliciting for continued patronage of their products, tasks federal government to ensure that cost of production is brought down to manageable level to prevent collapse of the sector.
