KGCSDA flags off #14m projects at 75 year old leprosarium at Ochadamu, kogi state.

Kogi state Community and Social Development Agency has flag off fourteen million naira projects at the leprosy Hospital Ochadamu in Ofu Local Government Area of kogi state.
While flagging off the projects at the Hospital premises at Ochadamu, the Managing Director of the Agency, Chief Dauda Momoh, noted that the management after engagement with the group working to e  leprosy  over a period of two years was to intervene in the challenges facing the Hospital and leprosy patients.
The managing Director , represented  by Operations Manager, Engr. Bayode Makakese Oladipo , said the area of interventions covers: ward, toilets, pharmacy building :  supply of drugs and consumables, reactivation of orthotic workshop for prostectic  moulding shoes at the cost of eleven million, one hundred and ninety three thousand, five hundred and forty six naira only, while the  renovation  and furnishings of class room will cost , three million, Eight hundred and three thousand , eight  hundred and thirty three naira fifty kobo totalling Fourteen Million , Nine hundred and ninety seven thousand , four hundred and thirty  three naira , fifty kobo only.
The Managing Director stated that the projects will reinvigorate the leprosarium with health care and sanitation facilities.
According to him , the group Development Plan GrDP will also revamp the educational facilities provided for the children of the affected patients.
He added that the Group Development Plan will be implemented through the Group Project Management Committee He charged the project committee to work assiduously for the effective implementation of the projects, saying further disbursement is contingent on the efficient utilisation of the first trance.
He noted that World Bank is reputed for standards in the project execution, hence, all the checks and monitoring put in place would reveal every aspect that does not conform to their guidelines, which could stop further progress on the job.
In à remark, the Administration officer of the Hospital, Rev. Uduak Mmah, thanked the officials for their kind gesture in identifying the Hospital for the intervention.
He promise to ensure judicious use  of the fund by making all stakeholders to be on their toes until the projects are completed.
Speaking for the community, the chairman of the project management committee, Akpa Adaji commended the Agency for the intervention and assured of successful execution of the projects.
