The people of Ogugu in Olamaboro local Government Council, have commended the Divisional police officer, DPO , the Navy commander , Neighborhood watch and hunters for their prompt rescue of nine passengers earlier kidnapped along Ete – Enugu road .
The victims regained freedom on Sunday evening following a joint operation coordinated by Olamaboro police Rapid Response Squad , the hunters, Neighborhood watch of Ogugu and the Nigerian Navy .
The locals specifically applauded the DPO , Superintendent of Police SP Cletus for his relentless commitment to safety, peace and security of lives and property of the entire Olamaboro residents
Speaking for the people of the council, a youth leader, Hon. Amego Enejo ,said the Dpo who was posted to the area barely eight months ago has consistently displayed gallantly, courage, compassion and professionalism in the discharge of his duties.
He said , the police after due diligence of the victims would be reunited with their families.
Confirming the rescue , the force public relations officer of the state command, SP. William Aya commended the officers for their efforts in giving the criminals runs for their escapades.
He also commended the people for divurging prompt and credible information that led to the breakthrough, saying , the act of security is a collective efforts of the people and urged the people to continue to collaborate with security agencies to make the society better for all.
