Gunmen hoard 9 in Oshokoshoko, kogi state.
No fewer than 9 persons were violently hoarded into the bush at Oshokoshoko, along Kabba/Obajana/Lokoja road by unknown gunmen.
The incident occured on Saturday between 4 and 5pm.
An eye witness said the kidnappers were six in numbers, two women and four men brandishing lethal weapons attacked the bus and ferried the occupants into the bush.
It was gathered that the victims took off from the Jehovah witness kingdom Hall, Kabba.
Elupo Eliazer ,a physical challenged person whose wife was among the victim, said , he escaped being abducted by divine intervention.
He said the kidnappers have called to demand first for 30 million but later reduced to 2.6 million naira after negotiation.
“My wife and I were traveling to attend our church convention scheduled for Lokoja,but I decided to follow a different vehicle as the Toyota could not contain all of us, else I would have been in the car with her”.
He said that the vehicle his wife traveling in was ahead of the one he was in but all the occupants of the vehicle have been marched in to the bush by the time his own vehicle got to the spot
Contacted,the police public relations officer, SP William Aya said , he is still gathering relevant briefings and promise to communicate accordingly
