Convener Of Coalition Of Non-Indigenes For Aketi Season 2 Cautions Aiyedatiwa On Fake Endorsements

The Convener of the Coalition of Non-Indigenes for Aketi Season 2, Hon. Austine Alaba Medaiyedu, has cautioned the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, against associating with “unstable groups masquerading as Non-Indigenes Forum in the State.”

In a press statement released to the media, Medaiyedu advised the governor to be wary of individuals who exploit ethnic identities for “selfish political gains.” He warned Aiyedatiwa against being swayed by endorsements from groups that hold no electoral value in the upcoming governorship election.

Recounting the coalition’s efforts in the previous election, Medaiyedu stated, “As the Convener of a very genuine Coalition of Non-Indigenes in Ondo State, we spent our hard-earned resources for the victory of AIYEDATIWA in 2020. We did not only go round the entire nooks and crannies of the state to campaign for late Akeredolu SAN, we also went the extra mile by contributing money for the purchase of Governorship Nomination/Intent forms for the late Governor and we equally donated some campaign souvenirs like customized T-shirts, Fez-Caps, posters, branded vehicles and billboards during the Election.”

Medaiyedu expressed concerns over the governor hosting groups that have come to “cash out under the colouration of Non-Indigenes.” The coalition assured Aiyedatiwa that the loyalty of these individuals and groups ends at the gate of Alagbaka, the state’s government house, as they do not have anything to offer him politically.
