Commandant pledges to smoke criminals out of kogi.
The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps , kogi state Command NSCDC has graduated 73 officers who undergone intensive three months training in weapon handling.
The Passing out Parade POP was held on Thursday in the command Headquarters in Lokoja.
The state Commandant, CD Aletan Olumide congratulated the graduands for their painstaking drills during the period of the training.
The State Commandant noted that training is part of the vision of the Commandant General Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi to keep the officers and men of the Corps in good shape to meet the 21st century challenges of tackling crimes, criminalities and general insecurity plaguing the country.
He charged the personnel to embrace constant learning and personal development based on the models of instructions imparted onto them.
He said, as arms handlers, the riffle has become their wives and husbands and as such, should be handled with care, with utmost delivery of their mandates.
According to the commandant, the training has afforded them the opportunity to constantly upgrade their skills, stressing that perfection only comes from constantly putting the skill into practice.
While warning criminal elements to relocate from the state in their own interests, assured that the command in synergy with other sister security agencies are well prepared to dislodge them and make Kogi safe for the people.
He charged the participants to exhibit highest level of professionalism and to be civil while carrying out their legitimate assignment so as to earn the confidence of the people.
He commended Gov. Ododo for his support which has enabled the command to effectively execute its assigned roles of protecting critical national assets.
The commandant who was flanked by heads of sister security agencies in the state, lauded the synergy and collaboration, which he said has ensured drastic reduction of crime and criminality in the state.
Highlights of the occasion was the gallant display by the graduands in silent parade, street clearing, stripling and fixing of riffles and VIP protection methods.
