The newly sworn- in-  chairman of Omala Local Government Council of kogi state,  Hon. Edibo Mark Ameh has described his emergence as a birth of a new dawn for the growth and development of the people of Omala LGA
This is as he vowed to run all inclusive Administration aimed at galvanising all sons and daughters both at home and in the diaspora to own and adopt the Local Government Area for rapid transformation.
The Chairman stated this when he hosted the people of Omala  in Lokoja after he was sworn in by the Executive Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
He said his administration will work  assiduously to restore the spirit of brotherhood that hitherto define the people adding that under his watch there would be no segregation and discrimination in whatever disguise or colouration.
He noted that his rancour free election is a  signpost that the people  of Omala  are United irrespective of party , religious and zonal cleverages, assured that the trust reposed in him would not be taken for granted.
He commended the former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the incumbent Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, for creating conducive environment for the youths to take a shot at the leadership positions in the state.
He acknowledged the massive support and personal sacrifices of Governor Ododo for standing by the people of Omala in their  moment of grief occasioned by the  brutal attack by bandits on Agojeju Odo , asuring that the Gov. has kept faith with the  promise to deploy Military personel to the trouble areas.
While commending the people for their unalloyed support, he  specifically thanked  some persons whom he said, have  toiled day and night with their resources and words of encouragement for him which   have brought about his victory at the poll.
The chairman promised to build Omala Hall as a signature of unity and composition of Economic Team that would warehouse issues  of growth and  development of the Local Government Area.
Hon. Edibo Ameh however , solicited the cooperation of APC in the zone and in the state to as a matter of necessity concede the position of House of Representatives for Ankpa, Omala and  Olamaboro  to Omala Local Area for power  equilibrium .
He promised to leverage on the succeses of his administration as CTC chairman especially in the areas of security, infrastructures and human development, stressing that the peace that has been restored to Bagan Communities would be extended to all the volatile communities in Omala.
In a remark, the Member representing Omala Local Government Area in the state legislature, Hon Umar Yahaya commended the people for ensuring the actualisation of what God has destined for the chairman as their supports  would continue to yield fruits of development for the people.
He appealed for the support for the APC government in her plans and  Programmes to bring dividend of democracy to the people despite the initial hardship occasioned by the reforms.
He said, governor Ododo has directed that Councils chairmen should henceforth be addressed as “chief servant” rather that “your excellency”as they were elected to serve the people which his administration sworn to uphold .
In their separate speeches, Honourable Abel Egbita (Ogwuyoo) Dr. Aminu Atabor,Mrs Adijetu Alhassan,Vice Chairman, APC zonal chairman, APC Omala Chairman, Ali Ogijo pledged to support the chairman and his policies that are geared toward uniting the people and creating equal opportunities for the  people across the zons.
They appreciated the electorate for their peaceful conducts before , during and after the polls, adding that the administration will work for the peace and progress of the people.
They however, called on the oppositions and those who might have been offended one way or the other to sheath their swords and join hands with the government to fast track development to the area.
