The Executive Chairman of Omala Local Government Council ,Hon. Edibo Peter Ameh Mark, has called on all indigenes and residents of Omala LGA to take full advantage of the ongoing national voters card registration exercise currently being conducted across the country by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Hon. Edibo emphasized that voter registration is not only a civic duty but also a powerful tool for shaping the future of the community.
He noted that obtaining a Permanent Voters Card (PVC) is the first step toward active participation in elections, which gives citizens the opportunity to choose credible leaders who will represent their interests at the local, state, and national levels.
According to him, the progress of our democracy and the development of Omala depend largely on the choices we make at the ballot. I therefore urge every eligible voters especially our youths and women to ensure they are duly registered and collect their PVCs ahead of the forthcoming elections.
He further encouraged traditional rulers, community leaders, and opinion leaders to mobilize their people to the designated registration centers to avoid being disenfranchised.
The Chairman also solicited the support of residents in sensitizing their people and provide necessary guidance to ensure that no eligible person is left out of the exercise
