Kogi Extra-Ordinaire Recognizes Professionals with excellence Awards in Lokoja.

The Kogi Extraordinaire has given awards of excellence to some professionals who have distinguish themselves in their innovations and and endeavors.
Kogi Extra-Ordinaire awards took place at Idrinana Hotel, Lokoja, on sunday featuring several awards related to television production , fashion design and other crafts in honour of young talents across diverse sectors.
The initiative according to the lead organisers of the event, Temitope Williams, is designed to celebrate individuals whose contributions have significantly advanced the development of Kogi State.
He thanked the Commissioner of Information, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo for his support throughout the planning period of the programme, Williams also extended his utmost appreciation to other partners, such as Graphics Newspaper, Lokoja, Imperial Blue, Nigerian Breweries, Miller Fashion and others.
According to him, the event was aimed to encourage excellence, inspire more service-oriented efforts, and establish a culture of recognition across the state.
“When people are encouraged for their participation in the growth of the state, they want to do more; but when their efforts are neglected, they tend to withdraw. This award is our way of saying, ‘We see you, and we appreciate what you are doing,’” he stated.
Mr. Williams further described Frosia as an idea-solution company that develops and executes creative concepts aimed at improving societies, organisations and communities.
In a show of institutional support, the Managing Director of The Graphic Newspaper, Mr. Yusuf Itopa, said the media outfit, Graphics Newspaper decided to partner with Kogi Extra Ordinaire to support the initiative.
He described the awards as a welcome development capable of elevating the profile of the state and motivating more people to work hard.
The award of Best Fashion Designer of the year was given to Kennies Eye, who has made outstanding contributions and impact in the fashion industry within the year, honouring him for professional impact as best fashion designer in town.
in the area of Media entertainment and communication, an award was bestowed on the famous online TV station in the state headquarters, Lokoja, LUGARD TV station, saying it was exceptional. Best dressed Award of the year was given to Oladipo Tomilola Seun in a popular red carpet segment.
Williams said the event was put in place to celebrate and reward outstanding achievements across Kogi state fashion industry, with categories like “Emerging Designer of the Year”, awards such as “Iconic Fashion Designer of the Year”.
The theme for the 2025 edition of Kogi Extra Ordinaire award night is “Celebrating Excellence,” reflects the vision of honoring credible individuals and inspiring others to contribute more toward community development.
Organisers say the event has brought together professionals, entrepreneurs, public servants, philanthropists, and other distinguished personalities whose efforts have created meaningful impact.
