Kogi Commissioner, Ashiru Idris Donates Six Boreholes, Cash to communities launches Tinubu/ Ododo support group

Kogi state Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning Asiwaju Asiru Idris  FCA, has donated six motorized Boreholes and cash with thousands of naira  to his Communities in Yagba East LGA to mark his birthday celebration.
The commissioner, while commissioning the solar-powered boreholes, said , the gesture is to ensure sustainability and uninterrupted access to potable drinking water, in order to  improving public health, supporting household needs, and easing the daily burden on residents.
The commissioning was widely applauded by community leaders as a critical and long-lasting intervention that reflects responsive and people-centered leadership.
The Commissioner  also used the occasion to inaugurate  the Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Continuity Support Group .
He reaffirmed his steadfast loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo FCA, the Executive Governor of Kogi State.
The event drew dignitaries from all walks of life, including royal fathers, APC party executives, political stakeholders, religious leaders, community leaders, party faithful, associates, and friends of the celebrant.
In addition to the ward-based cash empowerment, Chief Ashiru Idris  FCA rolled out a broad spectrum of empowerment initiatives cutting across entrepreneurship, party strengthening, women inclusion, and humanitarian support:
This was followed by a far-reaching Mega Empowerment Programme, where hundreds of people received ₦50,000 each to boost small-scale economic activities.
Other donations were ₦250,000 each to 35 business entrepreneurs in Yagba East to boost small and medium-scale enterprises.
“₦15 million to APC Party Executives at the Ward and Local Government levels, ₦1 million each to five (5) APC Women Leaders  totaling ₦5 million  in recognition of their commitment and leadership.
One bus donated to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Yagba East Chapter.
“Four cars presented to loyal party stakeholders, 10 motorcycles to enhance grassroots mobilization, as well as 10 deep freezers, 10 generators, 10 hair dryers, 10 clippers, and 10 branding machines.
“The beneficiaries, carefully drawn from grassroots supporters, artisans, traders, youths, and vulnerable individuals, received the cash support to stimulate small-scale economic activities and improve household livelihoods” He disclosed.
Stakeholders at the event described Chief Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris FCA as a leader whose celebrations consistently translate into tangible benefits for the people—combining infrastructure development, economic empowerment, party unity, and social welfare.
The occasion stood not merely as a birthday celebration, but as a strategic convergence of service, loyalty, and sustainable development, further solidifying Chief Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris FCA’s standing as a dependable pillar of progress in Kogi State.
