MPGGP  debut Maiden Mount Patti Racing competition in Lokoja

In  its determination to harness  tourism potentials  in kogi state, the Mount Patti Global glory preservers , has concluded arrangements for the staging of maiden annual mount Patti Racing competition in lokoja.
The event to be hosted at the end of April is a brain child of the MPGGP an independent tourism promoters to maximize the potential of mount Patti, the official resident of ex. Governor General of Nigeria , Lord Lugard.
Speaking to Journalists on Thursday in Lokoja during the advocacy visit to the Chairman of kogi state Council of NUJ Alhaji Ademu Seidu in his office, the team lead of the Group Fadhili, Eneji Abdulhareem said, the visit is to solicit the support of the press for the event.
According to him, the group after diligence study of the government participation in the development of mount Patti was not inclusive enough as private participation and media coverage was below expectations, stressing that the organization has to step in to consolidate on the gains so far made.
He added that the organization is working so hard to draw attention of those who are to assist in the projection of Mount Patti project.
Abdulraheem  flanked by Salihu Shuaibu and Abdulrazak Ibrahim, members of his entourage,stated that the project is of two legs, beginning with Racing competition slated for end of April 2026 , aimed at talent hunts of youths within the age bracket of 20- 30 years who will compete among themselves.
He said the April  competition would involve the selection of participants who are trainable for other competitions, while October event is going to have National and international outlook aimed to  develop their capacities.
He decried the neglect of the scenic beauty of Mount Patti and promise to clean up the place, do some development as much as possible
and make it eco-friendly capable of attracting the world to the site.
He pledged the commitment of his organization to erect at least 100 megawatt of Solar energy starting with 10 MWts with gradual increase untill the projected 100 Megawatts is achieved.
He added that as part of broader program of the Organization, the next stage will be the introduction of Cable Cars and high breed elevators to convey tourists from the ground level to the top of mount Patti for easy aerial views of entire gamut of lokoja.
While commending Kogi state government for the approval of their request to participate in the development of Mount Patti, praise Ministry of Youth and sports development and Sports Council for useful collaboration.
Responding , the Chairman of NUJ, Alhaji Ademu Seidu thanked the entourage for the visit and pledged to mobilize Journalists for purposive reportage of the activities of the organization.
