The All Progressives Congress Youth Vanguard has described the misleading and falsehood raised by the Kogi State Peoples Democratic Party State, Engr. Samuel Uhuotu as misinformation made out of the fear of defeat ahead of the February general elections.
The APC Youth Vanguard, Kogi State in a Press Conference, described the frivolous and baseless allegations made by the State PDP Chairman, in a letter to the Chairman, National Peace Committee as simply hatred for the developmental strides brought to Kogi State by Gov. Bello.
In a Press Conference, David Owa, urged the Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar RTD led committee to discountenance the submissions made by the PDP, pointing out that claim is obviously borne out of frustration and fear of defeat ahead of the coming general election.
While pointing out that it is unfortunate that the Kogi State PDP is already making up flimsy excuses ahead of time, wondered how a man whose administration has zero tolerance to insecurity under any guise, came on board and went after identified thugs, arrested many while others fled away be roped into cheap propaganda and claims.
According to the APC Progressive Youth Vanguard, Kogi state has never had it good, pointing out that for the avoidance of doubt and verifiable evidence, the good works of Gov. Bello has built an ultra modern model schools cut across the state fully equipped with all possible tools, establishment of Confluence university of science and technology; Osara, construction of roads throughout the state, construction of hospitals across the Senatorial District.
The Youth Vanguard said in an attempt to address national deficit of access to advance health care which makes Nigerians travel abroad for critical medical attention; Gov Bello constructed a multi billion world class reference hospital in Okene with the ability to attend to critical and intensive healthcare conditions.
The APC Youth Vanguard said hundreds of community are now lighted up through Gov. Bello’s rural electrification program, built Ejiba rice mill; now producing Kogi State Rice. Lokoja now have a fly over, he built a modern and beautiful Civic Centre, upgraded and renovated the State Specialist Hospital.
Similarly, the Governor the APC Progressive Youth Vanguard said the present administration rebranded the state Internal Revenue Service and built an ultra modern office; he increased the state internally generated revenue, initiated Bello health insurance scheme where people have access to free medical attention and mostly discounted.
While pointing out that the list of achievements of Gov. Bello is too much to State; urged the National Peace Committee to visit the Kogi State Government website for more detailed compilation of the Governor’s achievements with pictorial evidences; asked Engr. Uhuotu to present the PDP’s performance stewardship scorecard under any administration that can match that of Governor’s Bello’s achievement.
The APC Progressive Youth Vanguard concluded by saying that what the PDP Chairman put together in his letter was misleading and falsehood, urged that it be disregarded.

Your Excellency it has become imperative to respond to the above purported subject letter with false and misleading allegations by Engr Dr Samuel Uhuotu for the PDP. Dated 27th of October 2022.
One could have chosen to ignore the phantom and concocted stories and claims which is obviously borne out of frustration and fear of defeat ahead of the coming general election therefore making up flimsy excuses ahead of time.
But for the purpose of clarifying and correcting him from misleading and misinforming the public and this dignity and integrity personified committee the need for our urgent response.
Your Excllency you are not unaware of the commendations and Honours the security strides of His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello has attracted and earned him in the last 7 years of his administration; most recently He was conferred with a National Honour as the Security Governor of the year by President Muhammadu Buhari.
One will then wonder how can a man whose led administration has zero tolerance to insecurity under any guise, who came on board and went after identified thugs, arrested many while others fled away be roped into this cheap propaganda and claims.
The same area which the petitioner claimed to be threatened by the Governor, used to be a Centre for violence and insecurity and all manner of unrest and peace threatening vices; same Governor’s effort and decisive actions restored peace and orderliness to the area.
The Governor first brought a military out post base to be domiciled there for immediate response to crime, he formed and equipped vigilantes for full security operations with clear instructions on zero tolerance to criminal activities, the police and other security agencies also got massive support and mobilization to combat criminals and their operations in the area and that is why an unprecedented infrastructural development never witnessed before in history was made possible in the area due to the efforts of the Governor.
The petitioner also in his letter rephrased and wrongly quoted Gov. Yahaya Bello’s statement made during his visit to Government Technical college Oboroke on the 4th of September as saying the Governor said he will lead thugs against opposition party who opposes his party; whereas the Governor only reminded the people of Oboroke of his landmarks developmental strides in the area ranging from good roads, the very government technical college and renovation of Government girls college Oboroke amongst others infrastructure and social amenities; the Governor added and warned sternly that any plot or plans to make use of thugs or fuel violence in the area before, during and after elections shall be decisively dealt and penalized. He added that thugs and criminals remained not welcomed in Kogi state. But in a blink of the eyes; Dr Uhuotu who is supposed to be grateful and appreciative to Gov. Bello for constructing the road to his home town among other developmental strides brought to the community, he rather resulted to blackmail and frame up the Governor in an ugly and uncouth life manner.
It will interest you sir to know that Engr. Samuel Uhuotu has been operating as PDP Chairman in Kogi State from Abuja and makes his irrational conclusion from imaginations and assumptions far from the reality to mislead the public.
You may wish to also confirm as against his claim that in previous weeks; the Central district Senatorial candidate of the PDP Mrs Natasha Akpoti held a road walk campaign rally throughout the district without any interference or disturbances due to the quality security structure put in place by the same accused Governor. It is worthy of note that Dr Uhuotu who wants to misinform your Honourable committee and the public is not conversant or updated with the development of the State because he has remained in Abuja and operating the affairs of the PDP from his Abuja residence; hence he’s not updated nor informed of the massive harvest of developmental projects completed and still going on in kogi state by Governor Yahaya Bello.
In fact, two months ago the governor toured the entie local government areas of the state to commission as well as flag off new projects in various local governments.
It is most disheartening to adjudge the performance of Governor Yahaya Bello as poor by the petitioner; even though he has not visited the state in a long time still yet we believe that achievements of Governor Bello is clear enough to be visible to the blind; loud enough to be audible to the deaf and of course it is impactful enough to felt by all. As a matter of fact Kogi state have never had it this good. With the above, your excellency, one would agree that obviously all what the petitioner put together in his letter was misleading and falsehood. Maybe out of fear of defeat ahead of the February general elections or simply hatred for the development brought to Kogi state.
The petitioner also alleged that he has information of plots by the appointees to plant indicting and implicative materials in the PDP party secretariats across the state; The question that comes to mind is that for what purpose or to achieve what? Sir, the logic is how can a multiple plantation of implicative materials be carried out in 21 local government offices of the pdp at the same time? Does it portray any intelligence at all?.
This is rather too petty and cheap to blackmail the appointees of the government and the APC.
Your Excellency the APC intends to ride to victory in the coming election by the grace of God on the legacies layed on ground by Governor Yahaya Bello, it is going to be effortless because Bello has performed overwhelmingly and satisfactorily to the admiration of the masses and in turn it is normal and expected that the APC enjoys the peoples support and votes to make APC victorious in the coming general election.
We hereby call on the National Peace Committee Management to disregard and discard the malicious falsehood put together to raise false alarm or rather frustrate the good security commendation and accolades the kogi Governor’s security strides is attracting both national and internationally as kogi state government remains committed to ensuring peace and orderliness in the State.
