Hon. Marknoble constitutes Taskforce on Afforestation, Tree Crops.
Hon. EDIBO, Peter Ameh Mark, the Executive Chairman of Omala LGA, has constituted taskforce / committee on Forestry, Afforestation, and Tree Crops.
This was disclosed in a statement by Hon.Emmanuel Ibrahim complete the Chief of staff to chairman, Hon. Edibo Ameh.
The taskforce shall be responsible for promoting sustainable forestry practices, afforestation, and tree crop agriculture in Omala LGA.
The terms of reference for the taskforce shall include:
– Promoting sustainable forestry practices and conservation of forest resources.
– Developing strategies for afforestation and reforestation programs.
– Supporting the development of tree crop agriculture in Omala LGA.
-Collection and collation of information of sawyers, wood buyers, and anyone who engages in tree crop business.
– Collaborating with local communities and stakeholders to ensure the success of the taskforce
