2027: PDP , SDP, others coalescence to APC in Kotonkarfe.
Pledges to Deliver President Tinubu before 12 noon.
It was a harvest of members at the weekend , as the entire structures of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Social Democracy Party SDP and other parties have collapsed their structures into the ruling All Progressive Congress APC .
In a well attended ceremony held at the central LGEA primary School Kotokarfe, the leader of the defectors, and acting chairman of PDP, Hon Abdullahi Zekeri Easy, said the good work of commissioner of Solid minerals, Engineer Bashir Gegu and governor Ododo was the motivation for decamping.
He said, it has become imperative for the parties to join forces with Gegu who is the leader of the APC in the district to deliver the mandate of the governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo who has unleashed monumental development to the area.
He pledge their commitment to uphold the tenet of APC and to join in propagating the good work of the administration which has prioritize payment of salaries, free tuition and other fees for pupils and students .
According to him, they have tested Prophet Musa and Prophet Abubakar and discovered clear difference, adding that those who left earlier t to join APC have many stories of improve lifestyles , which was tonic for the final decamping today.
He assured that the only coalition known to them now, is a coalition of infrastructure, , youth development that has taken the youths of the streets and become leaders of not tomorrow but of today.
He commended the commissioner and other stakeholders for the opportunity granted them to be part of history making and promised to work assiduously for the growth of APC and development of the area.
While receiving the defectors , Engr. Bashir Gegu assured them that in APC there is no founder and joiner , that every one has equal opportunities.
He said with the caliber of the last batch of the PDP, SDP and others to APC , the people are guaranteed of unimaginable development to the Area
He said the government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has been working for the upliftment of the people with regular payment of salaries to both the state and local government workers, tackle insecurity Headon and prioritize Youth inclusivity, which drastically reduced poverty in the state.
According to engineer Gegu” The election victory will be landslide for the APC and we will deliver 100% for the APC in 2027. I can assure you for free that Kogi LGA is APC and Gov. Ododo and President Tinubu in Kogi LGA is APC. With the recent development where the remnants of the APC has collapsed into the APC, Kogi LGA is a no go area for any other political party.
” In Kogi local Government, the only coalition you hear is the coalition of other political parties joining the APC because of the infrastructure development, human capital development that our people have witnessed under the administration of Gov Ododo.
” What we have in Kogi is the coalition of good development and transformation of what Gov. Ododo has been able to achieve in the area. Presently, Kogi LGA is witnessing a coalition of healthcare development, with several hospitals doting the whole landscape of the local Government.
“In Kogi LGA what you have is coalition of good roads, in going construction of schools, empowerment , touching the lives of the downtrodden, engaging widows and orphans to be self reliant and self sustaining, youth engagement, support for the elderly in our community, supply of Agricultural inputs for our farmers and above all the coalition of security, that has made our people sleep with their two eyes closed and an enabling environment that has made our people go about their businesses unmolested, as made possible by Gov Ododo is what we are witnessing, that has made the opposition party to no longer exist in the Local Government” he concluded
In their separate speeches, the former Chairman of the council and now Chairman, Civil Service Commission Barrister Mohammed Tankwo Osuku and current executive Chairman of the council assured defectors of their safety and well-being in the party and assured that there wouldn’t be discrimination as their principle of equality in APC.
Those present include, Chairman, Local Lokoja, government council, APC chairman kogi kotonkarfe LGC, a former ,senator, and host of APC bigwigs from the state.
Highlights of the occasion was the presentation of party flag and brooms to the defectors.
