Isah Commissions New APC Secretariat in Ogaminana
The Special Adviser on Media to the Kogi State Governor, Ismaila Isah, has commissioned a new secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogaminana, Adavi Local Government Area.
The new APC secretariat located at Inorere in Ogaminana Central Ward is an initiative of the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor to support party administration and activities in the local government area.
Speaking during the ceremony, Isah said the secretariat was aimed at reassuring party members and supporters in Ogaminana Central that they remained a vital part of the APC family and the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
He commended the people of the area for their loyalty to the progressive movement through the legacy parties to the APC, noting that their support over the years had contributed immensely to the party’s success in the area.
According to him, the people of Ogaminana Central have remained steadfast and committed to the party for more than 13 years despite political dispensation.
“This secretariat is a symbol of unity among members and supporters who have continued to stand by the party and the administration of Governor Ododo.
It is also to assure you that, you have not been abandoned and more good things are coming,” he said.
The Governor’s spokesman further explained that the initiative for youths, women and artisans was the first phase of a wider initiative that would cut across the 22 polling units of Ogaminana Central Ward.
He urged residents to continue supporting the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the political aspirations of former Governor Yahaya Bello for Senate alongside other APC candidates in future elections.
He also charged party members and supporters to remain united, steadfast and committed to the ideals of the APC, assuring them that their loyalty would continue to attract more rewards and opportunities in the area.
Stakeholders at the event lauded the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that would further strengthen the APC structure at the grassroots.
They commended the Special Adviser for reconnecting with the grassroots and remaining committed to the welfare and political inclusion of party members and supporters in Ogaminana Central Ward and Adavi Local Government Area.
The event featured the presentation of cash gifts and working tools to over 200 youths, women and artisans as part of efforts to support grassroots development and community engagement.
