As part of its commitment to ensuring that people have access to 24 hours uninterrupted power supply, the Sun Energy Community Development Initiative (SECODI) Team Solar Power, over the weekend inaugurated an operation office in Lokoja.
The SECODI Team Solar Power new office which is located at Suite 21, Destiny Plaza, Ganaja junction,, Lokoja, witnessed a massive turn out of members and non members of the business network from within and outside the confluence city.
In his brief remarks, Dr Femi Akande, the CEO of Treasure Bakery and Confectionery, who was the Chairman of the occasion, urged SECODI members to be very serious at what they were doing and not despise their little beginning.
According to Akande, the level of your height in life depend on your commitment to your course, saying we all need to be hardworking because success does not come easily.
He urged the youths and other members of the society to avail themselves the opportunity and register to be active members in the course of lighting up Kogi State.
Earlier, the National Team Lead and Founder of Team Solar Power, Mr Oseghale Joe-Wealth, disclosed that the team has members across the country, and were embarking on a project tagged: ”Operation Light Up Kogi”
Joe-Wealth who doubles as Manager in SECODI, said the organisation was committed to making life easy through reliable source of power and water supply, and access to wealth.
He expressed his excitement over what has been happening silently in Kogi State, and what was about to happen publicly about SECODI, and urged everybody to take advantage of it, get registered and be an active member.
”We thank God that this program has been a remarkable success in Kogi. Now, SECODI is going on a very special phase in Nigeria.
”It started last year in Kogi and today we have over 7000 members in our team. We have been able to solve two problems; problem of incessant power outage and poverty.

He said other additional benefits for being an active and hardworking members of SECODI, include the training of distributors on solar installation, access to solar car, solar powered borehole and solar house.
According to him, the SECODI solar products include: Solar fan, pressing iron, bulbs, rechargeable lamp, blender, inverter, solar powered borehole, solar car, solar TV, Air conditioner, freezer, fridge, panels, Inverter and batteries, and housing benefits, among others.
‘He added: ”As a manger in SECODI, I will be getting my solar car very soon as well as my wife who is also a manager”.
On her part, Mrs Nora Oseghale, a Manager in SECODI, shared her testimony on what she had benefitted from the organisation since she joined.
”I am currently enjoying free 24hours Solar light without paying any Solar monthly bills through an organisation that is working hard to solve the problem of Electricity, Water and Poverty in our society.

Evang. Cecilia Ameh, said, ”I thank God for the opportunity to be part of the SECODI team. Now, I don’t care if there is NEPA light or not now, because I always charge my phone and uses light anytime I want. I am proud to be a Secodian”.
Mrs Mary Shaibu, said ”SECODI is for everybody irrespective of status, calibre in the society; it is a package for all.
”SECODI has made life so easy and covenient for us. I am happy that I am not only having light but I am also helping other people to get 24 hours light. I am so proud to be a secodian”.
On his part, Mr John Ekele, noted that SECODI was just about three to four years in Nigeria and has affected many lives in the country.
”Nigerians do not have any other option than to align ourselves with SECODI. In the afternoon there is sun and at night there is SECODI light everywhere.
”In addition to 24 hours light, the money I have been receiving through my wallet and other benefits have been encouraging me to continue with SECODI”, Ekele said.
A popular Comedian, St. John Mosco, who was the MC of the occasion, said, ”before SECODI many things have passed me by, but when I joined SECODI things begin to turn around for me.
”I am receiving my alert steadily”.
The highlight of the occasion was the commissioning of the SECODI Team Solar Power, SOLAR WORLD office by the Chairman of the occasion, Dr Femi Akande.
