The Alumni Association of the Federal University Lokoja, has Commended the Vice Chancellor, Professor Akinwumi Olayemi, for his all round transformation of the university in less than a year of his assumption of office.

This is just as the association recognises his relentless dedication and commitment to making the university a model among its peers , which , culminated in the accreditation of faculty of Medicine and Engineering , two most important faculties that a university could be proud of.

In a statement signed by the President of the Association, Comrade Muhammed Sani Yusuf and made available to Journalists on Sunday in Lokoja, kogi state Capital.

The president averred that, the vice chancellor and his Management team were able to change the ugly narratives of the university, due to their marveric and leadership acumen that has made the institution to rank first  among the nine Federal universities of her generation.
He added that his persistence strivings for excellence also saw the University ranked number 6 among the Federal Universities in the Country, noting that, with the commitment by the University stakeholders, the Association is sure that it would not take too long for the university to register her appearance among the world best universities.

Yusuf explained that, despite the appalled state of the university  before he took over, even with lean resources, he was able to bring gigantic projects to both Adankolo and Felele campuses.

He said, the Association is not unmindful of the sinister activities of some persons within the system with pull him down syndrome, but urge him not to succomb to them , rather , to fire on with his vision and passion in making the university number one in the world.
“your efforts to achieve accreditation of two key faculties: Medicine and engineering are highly commendable among other giant projects going on in both Adankolo and Felele campuses
‘It is normal to be criticised even when those involved in false information knows they are economical with the truth” He assured.
While assuring him of their unalloyed support for him to deliver on his mandate, warned mischief makers to desist from their machinations in order not to be faced with the wrath of the Association.
