The former Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Professor Stephen Ocheni was among thousands of dignitaries that attended the fidau prayers for the late Elder Statesman, Alhaji Isiaka Alfa today at Enabo, in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Other dignitaries are two former Governors of Kogi State,Alhaji Ibrahim Idris and Captain Idris Wada as well members of the National and State Assemblies
The former Minister at the occasion, said the late Alhaji Isiaka Alfa impacted on the lives of many within and outside his Community through his numerous philanthropic programmes.
Professor Ocheni said the deceased would also be profoundly remembered for his uprightness, especially  his penchant to speak the truth no matter who was involved.
He stated that  Ankpa Local Government and the entire state have lost a personality, who was a symbol of true community leader, an entrepreneur per excellence and a lover of both downtrodden and the rich in the society.
Professor Ocheni while condoling a son of the deceased, who is also a member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Rabiu Isiaka Alfa, Professor Ocheni urged him to take solace in the numerous outpour of eulogies for his father since his demise.
He called on Alhaji Rabiu and other family members to trend the path their beloved late father was known for and variously   acknowledged by many since he died.
Professor Ocheni prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased.
