Niger to collate data on property in six LGAs.

Niger state government to commenced digital data collection of properties in six local government areas of the state in other to addresses the issue of insecurity bedevilling the state.
The state commissioner for Finance Alhaji Zakari Abubakar who is the Special Guest disclosed this at the opening ceremony of a 5-day Training of Enumerators on the data collection on propaties, saying that the programme is to strengthen Land administration and security in the state.
The Hon Commissioner Alhaji Zakari said that the need for the state to have a comprehensive data on properties across the state and need to secured the state with the data collected necessitated the programme in the state.
He said the enumerators have been handed a very important responsibility as such they should ensure that the data they are going to generate and provide are accurate and authentic.”the success of the programme depends on the data to be provided by you”.he warned.
Ealier in his we!come address the Hon. Commissioner for Land and Housing Moukhtar Nasale mentioned that the programme which is in partnership with the World Bank and the Federal Government under the state Fiscal transparency, Accountability and sustainability is to ensure and maintain united digital base on propaties across the state.
Barrister Moukhtar said that the enumeration is to cover six local government areas for a start namely Chanchaga,Bosso,Bida,Suleja,Kontagora and Borgu.
He urge the enumerators to be dedicated to the assignment as they are going out to meet With the locals adding that they shall be handed with all working tools to facilitate their assignments.
He called on them to maintain all senses of maturity and decorum as they interact with traditional Rulers in the selected local government areas in the state.
