In his commitment to create sustainable livelihood for kogi youths, the Enemona Josh Humanitarian Foundation has concluded arrangements to sign a memorandum of understanding with Nollywood actor, Ken Erics aimed at attracting the youths into the entertainment industry.
President/ Founder of Enemona Humanitarian Foundation, ambassador Gabriel Onoja in a statement made available to Journalists in Lokoja disclosed this after a meeting with the actor in Lagos on Saturday.
Gabriel Onoja who had a fruitful discussion with the Nollywood actor said, his desire to explore the potentials of Kogi Youths in the entertainment sector is aimed at harnessing the numerous talents in the youths, package them and make their talents commercially viable both locally and internationally.
Onoja hinted that a formal endorsement deal will be done with the prolific screen “god” which will afford him the opportunity to interact with youths across the three sentorial districts of Kogi state and find out how they can be assisted in achieving their entertainment desire.
The statement added that the Screen meastro who will soon visit the state, would hold special business sessions for Kogi entertainers where ideas sharing will hold to open windows of business opportunities for them.
After the endorsement deal which will be perfected in the coming days, the state noted ,a talent hunt will be harnessed as youths with talents in acting, costume , directing ,music and other relevant areas related to the movie industry will get trained.
The statement further explained that Enemona foundation will also arrange meeting with the state’s tertiary institutions, particularly, department of Theater Arts in Prince Abubbakar Audu University Anyigba and the College of Education Ankpa to enable the actor share experiences with students.
“This latest development is to take the youths away from crime, develop their talents and give them international exposure. “
The anticipated Face of Enemona Foundation, Ken Erics synergy will birth smooth working relationship that will expose the youths to best practices in the industry.
The Nollywood actor who described Gabriel Onoja as an industrious and useful youth, challenged other influential Kogites to use thier influence positively to the advantage of Nigerian youths.
He described the Igala people as very resilient and hardworking with great ” I can do spirit”, by attesting to the fact that a few of them in the Nollywood have proven to have capacity for performance.
Recalled that Enemona Foundation recently returned to Nigeria from Benin Republic, the country home of Enemona’ s mother , where youths and women received various empowerment items .
